A kaleidoscope of yarn-bombed colour, vibrant jazz, great food, wine and coffee, crisp, frosty mornings and soul-warming sunny days with brilliant blue skies – expect this and more over 10 big days at Warwick’s Jumpers and Jazz in July.
From 15-25 July, book-ended by two big weekends, visitors will be spoilt for choice with a program boasting more than 100 different events across the region and catering to all interests.
The Grand Automobile Display on Palmerin (Sunday 18 July) features a range of unique vehicles proudly presented by car clubs and connoisseurs from vintage models to sports hybrids and muscle cars to special “one-offs” and motorcycles.
Enjoy a backdrop of live “get up an’ dance” jazz music with diverse food and coffee available all day.
Other festival favourites include artisan markets at the Gallery, Killarney Bonfire Night, Stroll and Swing featuring the Suitcase Rummage and Celebration of Local Flavours, and a pop-up showcase of exquisite crafts.
The Festival Finale at Leslie Park will feature more than 200 Winter Market stalls with jazz and great food all day.
Festival ticketed events include the festival launch, Jumpin’ Jazz Laneway Party (Friday 16 July) and Twilight Jazz in the Park (Saturday 24 July) – an opportunity to catch live jazz vibes in a winter vista of lit-up trees, warming food and drinks.
Tickets for these events are available at warwicktickets.com.au.
Midweek offers a more relaxed pace but there is still plenty to see and do with Potters’ soup night, cabarets, Ateliers’ Showcase, the Gallery’s famed yarn-bombed exhibition and pristine landscape drives featuring iconic historical landmarks.
There’s also plenty for kids to see and do too.
All this set against a backdrop of the amazing tree jumper exhibition and, of course, “get up and dance” jazz.
